January 16, 2018DIOCESE OF LAFAYETTE BEGINS CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION YEAR AT SAINT MARTIN de TOURS JANUARY 11, 2018
Despite threatening weather, a large number of Church parish members from Saint Martin de Tours and other church parishes in the Diocese of Lafayette were on hand as Bishop Deshotel celebrated a mass to officially begin the Centennial year of the Diocese of Lafayette (1918 - 2018). Father Rusty Richard hosted the celebration attended by numerous priests and religious from across the Diocese including Bishop Emeritus Michael Jarrell.
The celebratory centennial year will feature numerous special celebrations, masses and events. The Diocese of Lafayette website can be visited for information on the latest schedule of events and centennial related commemorative items. (www.diolaf.org)
