About St. Martin de Tours

Part of the rich history of this part of Louisiana for over 250 years, Saint. Martin de Tours Catholic Church parish is one of the oldest Catholic churches in America, and is the third oldest in Louisiana.

Located in the center of historic St. Martinville, Louisiana in the heart of Cajun country, Saint Martin de Tours Catholic Church has a large and active church congregation.

The Church and two buildings, including the Presbytere, sit upon a central and open park which has been a focal point in the community for events and commemorations spanning more than two centuries.

The Church itself is open to self-tours but not during weekend Mass times or Masses during Holy Day observations or during private weddings.  A detailed church brochure is available in the Church when visiting and a copy can be downloaded from this website.
